Free Public Lecture at CAT by Mike Berners-Lee

On Thursday the 12th of November, CAT is inviting members of the public to join Graduate School Students for a free public lecture by Mike Berners-Lee titled ‘2026: What will it actually take to head off bad times and look after each other and the planet.’

In 2026, as the climate and nature crisis prevails, we continue to live in a very challenging time, and in the face of overlapping global crises, it can be difficult to imagine how we can create the conditions for systemic change. In this lecture and Q&A, Mike will draw on his expertise to reflect on where the opportunities for collective action lie, considering how truth, courage and deep systemic thinking can help us head off bad times and look after each other and the planet.
